After one winding, cross over the end sticking out and
continue winding until the string is brought to pitch.
This technique will accomplish three things:
- The string will be locked and not slip because
the tension clamps it between windings.
- Less string breakage because the wraps will move
the string further away from the hole.
- You can change strings easier and faster because
the end is easier to remove (less tangling).
