Changing Your Steel Guitar's Strings

Insert the string into the hole in the tuning machine's string post.
Leave about 1/4" (about 6.5 mm) sticking out beyond the hole.

Note: Do not leave a large amount of string
sticking out of the string post hole.
If you do, you could scratch the surface of your guitar
when you wind the string.
