Changing Your Steel Guitar's Strings

Now, pull the 3rd string back to the 3rd string post.
This technique will give you the equivalent of
4 string posts’ worth of string to wrap.

You can also use this technique on strings 4, 5, 6, and 7
on D-10 models (in order to measure 2 post lengths).
